Staysouth.com portfolio grows with management of Queenstown's Commonage Villas
Leading Queenstown boutique apartment management company Staysouth.com has acquired some of the resort’s finest
accommodation with the Commonage Villas joining the company’s portfolio.
Staysouth.com Ltd has recently taken over management of the luxury five-star self-contained apartments after buying the
management rights from Commonage Villas Ltd as a going concern. Commonage Villas Ltd was the management company for the
villas, which are all owned by private individuals.
Staysouth.com CEO Andy Salek says the Commonage approached his company to take the management business to the next
level.
“The developers and management staff of Commonage Villas have done a superb job getting it to where it is today. As the
market grows, we think there’s room to grow the business incrementally whilst still looking after the owners and
managing the high level of service that the Commonage is known for,” Salek says.
“The Commonage is beautiful real estate – it’s the gold standard for private, self-serviced villas and we are excited
about taking over management of the property.
“This latest addition to our portfolio is testament to the success of the Staysouth.com brand and its fantastic team of
locals, led by Sonya Archibald and Mel Hotop,” Salek adds.
Staysouth.com already manages luxury self-contained apartments at LakeRidge Queenstown and Esplanade Queenstown, plus a
selection of properties at 22 Hallenstein and throughout Queenstown. It also set up and managed Village Queenstown,
based at the Hilton Queenstown complex, before the complex was sold to Shanghai Pengxin. As a result, the new owners
wanted to take over management of Village Queenstown. Staysouth.com still acts as the preferred agent.
Staysouth.com is retaining operational staff from the Commonage Villas to ensure continuity of service.
