DLA Piper Most Female-Friendly Law Firm in New Zealand
Law Firm DLA Piper Has Come Out Tops in the Lawfuel Law News Site's Survey of the Most Female-Friendly Law Firms in New Zealand.
DLA Piper has seven women partners out of 25 in New Zealand, placing the firm top in percentage terms with a 28 percent female partner ranking.
The LawFuel survey looked at the largest and mid-sized New Zealand law firms, showing how many women were making partner in the country's largest law firms.
The issue of women in law in New Zealand has been a growing issues as over 60 percent of all graduates from law schools in New Zealand are female, a trend that has grown markedly over the past 20 years. Yet most women fail to make the top positions in their firms.
The largest law firm in New Zealand by partner numbers is Chapman Tripp, which has 52 partners of whom eight are women (15 percent).
Second ranking firm in the survey was Kenginston Swan with a 27 percent ranking.
Two other large firms scored third-equal in ranking at 24 percent.
