Lunch gets easier – and healthier - for kids
In a big break for mum and dad, school kids are getting their very own My Food Bag - called My Lunch Box.
The popular and convenient My Food Bag home delivery service is introducing a lunchbox option of super quick and easy recipes for healthy school-time meals.
My Food Bag co-founder Cecilia Robinson says there has been increasing demand from customers for a My Lunch Box option.
“Families recognise the My Food Bag convenience and healthy food factors can also work brilliantly for the lunchbox. Customer feedback has been a big factor in us launching the My Lunch Box option.”
My Lunch Box is packed full of recipes and ingredients for healthy lunches, snacks and baking for four days. An option also exists for adding the incredibly popular Yoghurt Suckies produced by The Collective.
The healthy lunch offering is targeted at primary school aged kids.
“Just like our main meal choices the lunchbox recipes are super quick and easy to put together which is especially important on school mornings with everyone rushing out of the house,” Cecilia says.
Recipes are delivered by email. They include items such as a chicken and avocado wrap or potato corn and egg salad for main lunches, carrot, banana, cranberry and date loaf as a baked treat and a “peanutty” celery vegetable snack.
Initially the weekly delivery will come as an add-on for existing My Food Bag subscribers but the business plans to eventually extend availability as a stand-alone selection.
My Food Bag decided to do lunch mail meals for only four days based on feedback that many schools do special days for lunch once a week such as fish and chip Fridays.
My Lunch Box options will be available in all the places My Food Bag delivers. Orders are being taken from the week commencing Monday April 13 with first deliveries arriving in time for the new school term On Sunday April 19.
Customers can select from the following options:
· One child lunch box for $33.99 (4 lunches a week for one child)
· Two children lunch box for $57.99 (4 lunches a week for two children)
· One child lunch box + 4 Suckies for $39.99
· Two children lunch box + 8 Suckies for $69.99
