Recipe for a rewarding Easter
Whether it is a family feast, catching up with friends or simply taking a breather, a rewarding Easter is about much
more than what the bunny brings.
That’s the view of Sacred Hill managing director David Mason who sees the holiday weekend as the chance to take time
out, reflect on an undoubtedly hectic start to another year and catch up with family and friends – possibly over a well
chosen wine or two.
“At Sacred Hill we’ve become increasingly conscious of the myriad of distractions in life and the need to escape these
things that constantly keep us ‘busy’. Taking time out with family and friends is at the heart of the things we hold
Sacred.”
Mason believes that whether it is the technological advances that were supposed to make us more efficient, leaving us
more overscheduled, overworked and overwrought than ever or the simple fact that we’ve all got our heads so buried in
our phones and tablets we are missing out on life going on around us – there’s a greater need than ever take time out
for the moments and people who really matter.
“Easter is the perfect time for this. With the end of daylight saving it feels like an ideal time for some ‘last of the
summer wine’ moments with those who are most important in our lives.”
With Sacred Hill’s new Reserve range freshly launched in the last fortnight, Mason is certainly looking to balance his
own work / life ledger this Easter and is encouraging others And of course Easter is not Easter without chomping on some
chocolate. So what is Mason’s recommendation for a decadent Easter indulgence?
“Leave the milk chocolate and marshmallow to the kids. Find the best dark chocolate you can – egg shaped or otherwise –
and enjoy with your nearest and dearest while sipping on a rich red such as Sacred Hill’s gold medal winning HALO
Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2013. Repeat as desired throughout the weekend. Happy Easter.”
Sacred Hill HALO Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2013 is available at fine wine stores throughout New For further information on
