ARANZ Medical named 2015 Hi-Tech Awards finalist

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ., 26 March, 2015 - ARANZ Medical Ltd has been named a finalist in the 2015 New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards. The fast growing company which specializes in 3D scanning applications that transform clinical processes in wound care and orthotics/ prosthetics, has been shortlisted for the Cisco Hi-Tech Emerging Company of the Year 2015 category.

ARANZ Medical’s key innovations include Silhouette, an FDA-approved advanced wound surveillance system which supports better wound care management and increases productivity in clinical practice, and specialized 3D scanning systems for orthoses and prosthetics and other medical applications.

“We’ve seen significant growth, and we are gearing up for some exciting opportunities as healthcare adapts to trends such as telehealth, the development of imaging technologies, and productivity improvement. The Hi-Tech Awards are judged by around 40 local judges, including some of New Zealand’s most successful technologists and entrepreneurs, and are joined by a strong line-up of international judges including renowned American business strategist, Gary Hamel; co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak; founder of Massive, Claudia Batten; Director of Engineering for Google in New York, Craig Nevill-Manning; Senior Vice President for Cisco, Howard Charney; Xero CMO Andy Lark; and Managing Director for IDG Ventures, Pat Kenealy.

Other finalists in the Cisco Hi-Tech Emerging Company of the Year 2015 category include Dbvisit, Movio, Totara Learning, Unleashed Software, and Volpara Solutions.

The Hi-Tech Awards winners will be announced at a black-tie gala dinner to be held at the TSB Arena, Wellington on 15th May 2015.
