Roy Norris joins Plus4 Insurance Solutions in Auckland

Plus4 Insurance Solutions (Plus4), the national insurance broking and financial adviser group, today announced that Roy Norris has joined the group, Roy is the former General Manager Operations and Head of Distribution at Fidelity Life.

Roy has over 25 years experience in the financial services sector and established his own practice in 2012 working with the professional market (primarily in the medical and dentistry fields) and SMES. He specialises in providing business assurance (business risk management) including shareholder buy-sell agreements, key person protection, ACC and health cover.

Educated at the University of Stellenbosch, he began his financial services career following graduation with Old Mutual PLC, in South Africa. Over the next decade, he rose through the ranks to manage the group’s Sandton Broker Branch in Johannesburg, one of the company’s largest branches in South Africa.

In 2001, he immigrated to New Zealand having been offered the role of General Manager Operations with Fidelity Life Assurance Company where he managed a team of over 70 staff, supporting approximately 1,000 advisers and 40,000 policy holders. Roy remained with Fidelity Life until 2012 holding a series of senior management roles with the company culminating as Head of Distribution.

Established in 2008 in Nelson, Plus4 now has over 30 advisers working from 12 locations between Whangarei and Invercargill. Group members, who have no affiliations to any specific insurance provider, offer unbiased advice tailored to their individual and business clients’ requirements.

They work predominantly with small to medium sized enterprises, their owners and their accountants.
