BNZ and Air New Zealand to end Airpoints partnership

Media Release

19 March 2015

BNZ and Air New Zealand to end Airpoints partnership

After a long and mutually beneficial arrangement that provided Airpoints™ earning on BNZ GlobalPlus products, Air New Zealand and BNZ have decided not to renew the agreement between them.

The current agreement will cease at midnight on 30 April 2015, from which point BNZ’s GlobalPlus products will no longer earn Air New Zealand related benefits, including Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points.

Air New Zealand General Manager Customer Value Hamish Rumbold and BNZ Director Retail Banking & Marketing Craig Herbison say both organisations are developing alternatives for their customers.

Both BNZ and Air New Zealand will be notifying their respective customers to inform them of the change and advise them of their options.
