Rabobank Dargaville celebrates opening
Rabobank’s newest office in New Zealand celebrated its official opening on Thursday 26 February with a special event held at the Dargaville branch to mark the occasion.
Located in the heart of Dargaville, the new Rabobank branch is located at 94 Normanby Street and has been purpose-built to suit the needs of clients and staff frequently accessing the facility.
Rabobank chief executive officer for New Zealand Ben Russell said he was pleased to see the new premises “come to life”.
“We have been developing our plan to open in Dargaville for some time now and it’s great to see the team open the new building for business,” Mr Russell said.
“We have had a strong presence in Northland with a large branch in Whangarei that opened over a decade ago, so our staff are very familiar with the local community and the farming sectors in the Dargaville region. We have many clients in the Dargaville area and we look forward to building on this and further supporting the farming sectors in this Rabobank Northland branch manager Tessa Sutherland said the Dargaville opening celebration was very pleasing, with a strong turn out from clients and local business professionals from around the Northland region.
“We opened our doors within the last month and the support we have received from the Dargaville township and the wider farming community has been overwhelmingly positive,” Ms Sutherland said.
“We were also joined by Sir Henry van der Heyden, a director of Rabobank New Zealand, at our function.”
Ms Sutherland, who has a banking career spanning more than 11 years with Rabobank, has previously been managing the Rabobank Whangarei branch. Based in Northland, she will continue to operate from both branches, encouraging Rabobank staff to do the Joining Ms Sutherland in Dargaville will be rural managers Tina Stewart and Tafi Manjala, along with senior rural manager Bryn Hughes. Finance officer Francie Pyke, and senior finance manager Tracy Tobin round out the team, all of whom have been previously based full-time at Rabobank Whangarei. The new branch has room to accommodate up to eight staff in the future.
