2015 Northland Field Days Could Be Biggest Ever
The 2015 Northland Field Days is shaping up to be the biggest ever according to organisers with more exhibitors, more
competitions and better facilities than ever before.
From February 26 to February 28 people from Northland and beyond will flood into Dargaville for the Northland Field Days
with high expectations
With over 450 companies exhibiting at the event this year Northland Field Days president Lew Duggan says interest has
never been higher with exhibitors taking the extra effort to make site displays more dynamic and exciting than ever.
Those interested in getting a glimpse into Northland's history will be getting a special treat this year say organisers
but not one but two heritage organisations having displays at the event.
While the Kaipara Vintage Machine club will be present with lovingly restored farm machinery Honeycraft Pioneers will be
setting up a traditional homestead complete with a kitchen, bedroom and laundry.
Organisers expect with company director Pam Parkinson to give demonstrations through the event.
Those interested in upgrading their 4WD and looking for a few more thrills can take a ride in the passenger seat of a
new model Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser or Rav4 on a 4WD course set up on the company's site with axle twisters, water,
hills sidings obstacles according to Northland Toyota sales consultant Nigel Gilmour.
"Customers will experience challenging approach and departure angles right from the passenger's seat."
Customers can also expect fantatic deals according to organisers with a lot of companies offering some fantastic savings
for the event.
Farmlands would be cutting prices very heavily on Paslode fencing tools for the three days the Norhtland Field Days was
on at the event while Fonterra Farm Source would be offering 50% off all Apex Big Boy tank valves to show goers with
Duggan saying this wa just the tip of the iceburg. "Exhibitors have really sharpened their pencils this year, I haven’t
seen another year like it."
Duggan says visitors would be more comfortable at the event thanks to the installation of a permanent toilet block and
new entrance for the first time.
"The Northland Field Days events ground has slowly been improved and added to over the past 10 years," says Duggan.
"While a toilet block and better pedestrian access will be the most ambitious changes to date they pale to the
improvements we have planned in the very near future."
Held in Dargaville, two and a half hours Northwest of Auckland, 40 minutes west of Whangarei and one hour South of
Kaikohe the Northland Field Days is a fun three-day event from February 26 to February 28.
