AMP KiwiSaver Scheme receives Platinum rating from SuperRatings for 2015
Leading life insurer and retirement savings provider, AMP Financial Services, has further cemented its position as one of New Zealand’s leading KiwiSaver schemes with the announcement that it has been awarded a Platinum rating for 2015 from SuperRatings.
The SuperRatings assessment reviewed 32 of New Zealand’s major KiwiSaver products against SuperRatings proposition of “value for money” for scheme members. Analysis covered five main assessment criteria to accurately identify value for consumers.
David Wallace, Head of Contemporary Wealth Management, at AMP says: “We know we have a great KiwiSaver Scheme, but to receive independent recognition that we provide outstanding value for money is a fantastic endorsement of our scheme and good news for our customers.
“When you combine this with the other accolades we’ve received for our KiwiSaver Scheme; a five-star ‘outstanding value’ rating in the 2014 CANSTAR KiwiSaver Star Ratings for our KiwiSaver Scheme Default Fund, and a Silver Analyst rating for the investment offering in our Default Fund from international rating house Morningstar, it confirms that we have something pretty special to offer our customers,” continues Wallace.
Within its assessment, SuperRatings confirms: “AMP provides a ‘best value for money’ KiwiSaver Scheme that is well balanced across all key assessment criteria in a robust, secure and proven risk framework. The Scheme provides features that should assist most individuals to meet their retirement savings goals.”
SuperRatings allocates ratings over a pre-determined distribution bell curve, ensuring only a limited number of funds achieve the highest ratings. Platinum is the highest rating available under SuperRatings assessment criteria, followed by Gold, Silver and then Other.
