Leading real estate company strengthens leadership of its rural division
Bayleys Real Estate has strengthened its countrywide rural division – with the appointment of Simon Anderson to head up
the company’s rural marketing and sales activities nationally in the newly created role of national country manager.
Mr Anderson has been involved with the company’s rural activities for 13 years as the regional rural manager for the Bay
of Plenty, Waikato and Taranaki regions.
Based out of Bayleys’ Tauranga office, Mr Anderson will take on a strategic role to expand the agency’s national and
international marketing of rural properties – ranging from horticulture, sheep and beef, forestry and viticulture sites,
through to agricultural and dairying blocks.
“As New Zealand’s leading income-generating sector, the rural economy has always been, and will continue to be, the
cornerstone of this country’s economic prosperity – whether that be from viticulture, wool, meat or dairy,” he said.
“As such, Bayleys appreciates the importance the primary production market has for both owner/operators deriving an
income, and for investors.
“The new marketing initiatives now being designed by Bayleys for the rural sector combine traditional nuances specific
to the country scene, with modern marketing and communication channels – most notably digital media and an international
presence - all enabling rural land vendors to take advantage of the new opportunities available to them when selling
their property,” Mr Anderson said.
Mr Anderson has a degree in valuation and farm management. He played representative rugby for Otago for three years.
