Plus4 Insurance Solutions Extends Presence in Dunedin
Plus4 Insurance Solutions Extends Presence in Dunedin with the Appointment of A Further Experienced Adviser – Fiona Keenan
Plus4 Insurance Solutions (Plus4), the national insurance broking and financial adviser group, today announced that a further Dunedin-based adviser, Fiona Keenan has joined the group. This follows the recent appointments of Dunedin-based advisers Tony Chave and Tim Oliver who joined Plus4 last month.
Fiona Keenan is an experience insurance broker who has specialised in agribusiness providing personal and business insurance to the rural sector; primarily to farmers, farm contractors and rural businesses. Although she is based in Dunedin, Fiona works with rural communities throughout the South Island.
She began her career with CountryWide Bank in Dunedin and after a decade with the bank joined FMG, which was then known as Farmers’ Mutual Group, the specialist rural insurance provider. After 15 years with FMG, Fiona established her own business Keenan Financial Services in order to provide her clients with a wider range of products. A member of the New Zealand Financial Advisers’ Association, Fiona has completed the National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice).
Plus4’s Chairman Grant Uridge said, “Fiona is an experienced and highly regarded financial services professional. She has built her career on serving the needs of the rural sector, businesses and families. Given that Plus4 is a cooperative, the only specialist insurance and financial broking firm who is a member of the NZ Cooperatives Association, we are very selective about whom we ask to join our group. Our members need to not only have the necessary experience and expertise but also share our values, as each member has an equal shareholding. We are pleased to welcome Fiona to Plus4.”
Established in 2008 in Nelson, Plus4 now has over 30 advisers working from 12 locations between Whangarei and Invercargill. Group members, who have no affiliations to any specific insurance provider, offer unbiased advice tailored to their individual and business clients’ requirements.
They work predominantly with small to medium sized enterprises, their owners and their accountants.
