World’s Largest Commercial Property Services Firm Launches Greening Initiative
CBRE offices across Australian and New Zealand will undergo an environmental transformation over the next six years,
with the firm aiming to increase its green space by 20%.
As a partner of the 202020 Vision - a not-for-profit collaborative initiated aimed at increasing green space in
Australia by 20% by 2020 - the move marks a significant step in sustainability shaping corporate policy and and the
business' ongoing commitment to the health of our cities through urban greening.
Since the launch of the initiative last year, CBRE has introduced hundreds of plants into its offices across Australia
and New Zealand, and after 12 months will measure the impact increased green space has had on absenteeism in the
business.
“In Australia and New Zealand we are privileged to have some of most pristine and clean environments globally, and it is
important that we uphold our corporate and social responsibility to protect our natural environments.” said Amanda
Steele, Head of Sustainability, CBRE Pacific.
