New online start up Kiwibargain.co.nz changes the way Kiwi’s shop

Kiwibargain.co.nz, a newly launched website aims to put the power back into the consumers court and fundamentally change how Kiwi’s research online prior to making decisions on how they spend their money. Launched by Auckland based entrepreneur Aaron Rodrigues, the business was set up with a simple goal, to allow bargain hunters to form a community where they can find, share, discuss and vote on the best bargains available in New Zealand.
The numbers speak for themselves, Kiwi’s love their bargains. Just over the most recent period, more than $5 billion worth of electronic transactions were processed, much of which was spent on items on slashed on Christmas, Boxing day and New Year sales.
Kiwibargain.co.nz aims to assist such buyers in knowing what, where and when such bargains are made available on products they are actively looking to buy. Members will also be able to discuss and vote on bargains they like or dislike. The simplicity of the website makes it easy for members to filter by location, category and time.
The retail space in New Zealand is currently fragmented and made up of a number of different retailers all with their own websites. Consumers currently depend on information provided by each retailer individually on deals and specials they offer. Kiwibargain.co.nz will act as a binder to bring together all consumers and all retailers at one central location.
Being community driven initiative, the authority, trust and success of the website falls back on to the members who use the website. Kiwibargain.co.nz aims to help set up this platform to ultimately help Kiwi’s save more by knowing more.
