Vero cements long-standing partnership with AMP
Vero Insurance, the underwriter for AMP branded general insurance products, today announced the renewal of their 13-year
partnership for a further seven years.
“The Vero and AMP businesses are a natural fit, having each served our New Zealand customers for more than a hundred
years. The renewal of our partnership will see both organisations focussing on creating more products and benefits that
will protect our customers,” says Vero Chief Executive Officer, Gary Dransfield.
Jack Regan, Managing Director, AMP New Zealand says: “AMP is delighted to renew our partnership with Vero for an
additional seven years. Our customers need to know we can help them protect the things that are important to them such
as their cars, home or contents. So for us, it is imperative we partner with an organisation with high levels of
customer satisfaction and that we trust to deliver should the unthinkable happen.”
As their underwriter, Vero will produce general insurance policies that appeal specifically to AMP customers. The new
agreement will build on the existing AMP Advice model and take full advantage of their expanded distribution channels
which include KiwiSaver, Spicers, Advicefirst, AMP@work and direct channels such as AMP360. AMP’s distribution footprint
will give policyholders more opportunities to access products and services.
“Our customers’ needs are changing and the insurance industry itself is in the middle of significant change. We
acknowledge these changing needs and we will respond to them to ensure that our customers can depend on us.
“Our partnership with AMP and our other intermediary channel partners is an opportunity for our customers to access a
wide range of Vero products and services knowing that they are backed by a strong financial organisation that is well
capitalised and will be there when they need them. We have an experienced, locally based claims team that is always
available to provide support and advice,” concludes Dransfield.
