Brisbane Welcomes Burgerfuel
15 December 2014
Brisbane burger lovers are celebrating a long awaited day today, as BurgerFuel opens the doors to their first restaurant in Queensland’s capital city. The opening of the franchised restaurant marks the second major territory for BurgerFuel in Australia, with two stores also located in Sydney.
The new restaurant is part of Emporium Brisbane, a luxury retail and dining precinct renowned for its international architectural design aesthetic and home to fashion retailers, cafés and restaurants.
Located in a position of high visibility, the restaurant is surrounded by apartments, high-end retail stores, and a number of food outlets and bars. BurgerFuel’s gourmet burger offering will be popular with residents, shoppers, nearby hotel guests and revellers who frequent the area’s busy nightlife scene.
General Manager of BurgerFuel Australasia, Craig Notman, comments, "We’re thrilled to be opening in another major city in Australia. Queensland is a promising territory for us and our next restaurant to open, located in the Gold Coast, is now also nearing completion”.
This new Brisbane BurgerFuel is the first franchised restaurant to be activated through the company’s Subway® connection, after a deal was signed with Subway’s® associate company, Franchise Brands LLC, at the beginning of this year.
BurgerFuel® Worldwide (BFW) is a New Zealand gourmet burger concept and is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZAX). BurgerFuel shares are currently trading at $3.55.
