Kia introduces limited edition Sorento SX

Kia introduces limited edition Sorento SX By Kia New Zealand Dec 1st 2014

A limited edition of Kia’s popular Sorento R has been launched in New Zealand, and with only 31 currently available nationwide, those interested will want to move quickly.

The 2.2-litre AWD diesel Sorento SX boasts larger 19-inch alloy wheels and a polished nudge bar, along with custom mats and interior features, all for a very cool $47,990 + ORC – a saving of more than $10,000 on a similarly equipped model from the regular Sorento line-up.

Leather upholstery, reversing camera and sensors, rain-sensing wipers, touch-screen audio, dual zone climate control, smart cornering lights, front and rear fog lights, and daytime running lights are all included in the limited edition SX.

The package is designed to deliver even greater value and amenity to one of the most impressive vehicles in the Kia range.

“The SUV segment in New Zealand continues to expand, and we have taken the opportunity to offer this special edition Sorento R to consumers who are looking for a premium vehicle at a very competitive price,” says Todd McDonald, General Manager of Kia Motors New Zealand.

The Sorento R delivers a new level of sophistication and driving pleasure as a result of its most recent upgrade.

These improvements included the creation of an entirely new platform and a stronger, yet lighter re-engineered bodyshell, together with an enhanced powertrain for improved fuel economy with lower emissions, and revised suspension for a smoother ride, sharper handling and greater on-road refinement. The latest Sorento R also exhibits impressive passenger space and low external noise intrusion.

All models in the Kia Sorento range, including the limited edition SX, benefit from three rows of seating, allowing for up to seven occupants to travel comfortably.

A smooth, intelligent six-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range, and the AWD system featured in the SX makes use of intelligent technology that senses loss of traction on slippery surfaces and directs increased drive to those wheels with the most traction.

Like all new Kia passenger vehicles sold in New Zealand, the new SX edition of the Sorento R comes with a 5-year/100,000km Warranty Programme, 5-year Roadside Assistance package and Incident Care.
