Creative HQ Extends Partnership with CityLink for Internet and WiFi Services
Creative HQ, Wellington’s startup base, has extended its partnership with CityLink to bring internet and WiFi services to startups free of cost at Creative HQ’s new premises in the Hope Gibbons building in Wellington.
Since 2003, Creative HQ has supported and mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs as they build startup ideas into global businesses.
CityLink, a leading network infrastructure provider, has been actively engaged in Creative HQ initiatives since 2007.
As the Internet has become the cornerstone of innovation for digitally focused startups, having quality internet connectivity is almost more important than reliable power says Creative HQ CE Stefan Korn.
“We want to remove any hassle of getting started in business, including finding a workplace with suitable internet and networking services. CityLink strengthens what we can offer entrepreneurs to help them hit the ground running from day 1.”
Creative HQ and CityLink have a shared passion for enabling Kiwis to build business that will create long term economic wealth for New Zealand. The extended partnership includes business mentorship and coaching from CityLink’s top leaders who hope to aid Creative HQ startups in their quest to build global businesses.
“Investment in the internet and networking is critical for a growing business and CityLink aims to give new start-ups a head start in this space,” says Nick Willis, Chief Executive of CityLink. “We endorse the search for new ideas in business, a philosophy that we live by as we endeavour to provide ingenious connections for our customers.”
CityLink, has many firsts to its credit namely the New Zealand Internet Exchange in 1999, New Zealand’s first public Wi-Fi Service Cafénet in 2002 and Wellington’s citywide Wi-Fi service cbdfree in 2011.
