New Partner at Chen Palmer
Chen Palmer is pleased to announce that James Dunne has been confirmed as the Firm’s newest Partner. James has worked at
Chen Palmer for seven years, during which time he has worked on every type of public law instruction the firm attracts.
James’ key specialty is Parliament and law reform, including advising on the Parliamentary process, the enactment of
Bills, drafting submissions to Select Committees, appearances at Select Committee financial reviews and inquiries,
Parliamentary privilege, complaints to the Regulations Review Committee and general strategic public law advice around
turning policy into legislation. He is also experienced in the full range of public law tools, including public law
litigation and government relations. He also provides regular media comment on a range of public law issues.

business regulation, judicial review and government relations.”
James will continue to practice from the Firm's Wellington office along with Partner Nick Russell, and Employment Team
Wellington Leader, Claire English, and will continue to be supported by the Firm's senior leadership team of lawyers
across the Auckland and Wellington offices.
