Veuve Clicquot launches new mail service this Christmas
Veuve Clicquot is bringing Clicquot Mail to New Zealand just in time for Christmas this year. Throughout the month of December, restaurant diners will be able to put pen to paper on tailor-made Veuve Clicquot postcards then post them free of charge to loved ones, using a Veuve Clicquot Mailbox inspired by the vintage American mailbox with a Clicquot twist.
Diners who buy a flute of Clicquot will receive one postcard and if they prefer a bottle they will get four postcards. Each participating restaurant will have its own Clicquot Mailbox that will be cleared regularly, distributing the handwritten Clicquot Mail across the country. The public can also go in the draw to win one of twenty Clicquot Mailboxes by Instagramming a photo of themselves sending their postcard using the hashtag #clicquotmailnz.
“I love the idea that in the age of emails, text, online and social media we can still encourage people to write to each other…there is something unique and thoughtful about receiving a handwritten postcard. Clicquot Mail was created in memory of Madame Clicquot, who was known for personally handwriting all her notes,” says Rai Banbury, senior brand manager Veuve Clicquot.
Clicquot Mail comes to New Zealand from a recent tour of the United States and will be available at selected restaurants until the 31 December 2014. The winners of the #clicquotmailnz Instagram competition will be drawn on 5 January 2015.
