Fidelity Life in Running for Company of the Year: Deloitte Top 200
New Zealand-owned life insurance company Fidelity Life has been named as a finalist in the Company of the Year category in the Deloitte Top 200 Awards.
Fidelity Life is the only insurance-based company to be named as a finalist across the eight award categories.
Fidelity Life Chief Executive Milton Jennings says featuring in the highly respected awards is a significant achievement for the company and testament to the effort of staff, advisers and partners over what has been an exciting time in the company’s history.
“The company has been on a rapid growth path and the last two years have been the most eventful in the 40-year history of Fidelity Life.
“We have enjoyed strong performance results and set out an ambitious future direction for the business. We have demonstrated to the New Zealand market that we’re a major force in the local financial services industry,” says Mr Jennings.
Under a solid growth strategy Fidelity Life acquired the in-force life insurance business of Tower Health & Life and the group risk business of Tower Life (NZ) last year making the company the largest New Zealand owned life insurer and the third largest life insurer in the country.
Mr Jennings says Fidelity Life has maintained a strong focus on innovation, investing in and developing a number of new technology solutions to cement its leadership position in the industry.
“An important innovation has been our work in creating integrated services with third party providers of industry software for advisers. We have led the industry in this area, continuing to add value to the adviser relationship through technology services.”
Three finalists are named in the Company of the Year category (including Briscoe Group and Air New Zealand) with the overall winners of all Deloitte Top 200 Awards categories announced at the 25th anniversary awards evening on 27 November.
