BP Leads Further Price Reduction at the Pumps
BP last night led the seventh consecutive price drop in the last six weeks with a further reduction at the pumps on petrol and diesel at its company-owned sites. BP has decreased the price of petrol by 2 cents per litre and diesel by 2 cents per litre, bringing the price at most BP owned service stations to:
91
Unleaded: $207.9 cents per litre
95 Petrol: $216.9 cents
per litre
Ultimate Diesel: $140.9 cents per
litre
“The downward trend in the cost of product on the international market continues,” BP Communications Manager, Jonty Mills said.
“This is the seventh consecutive reduction since early October. It’s not unusual at this time of year to see these trends as the world moves between seasons and the impact on supply and demand drives the cost of refined product,” he added.
“There is also stockpiling going on which lessens demand and drives the price down. At the moment it’s good news for motorists as the pump price is at its lowest since April last year and we’re handing on these benefits as quickly as possible,” Mills concluded.
