Avaya Appoints Two Senior Executives to its Australia and New Zealand Management Team

Sydney – November 4, 2014 - Avaya has appointed Jeff Sheard as the Head of Enterprise and Government Sales for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), and Isabel Botha as Corporate Counsel for A/NZ.

Enterprise and Government

Jeff brings more than 25 years’ experience in building IT businesses and teams in Australia and across the APAC region. At Avaya, Jeff will be responsible for driving sales in enterprise and government markets as demand increases for comprehensive, secure and reliable business collaboration solutions.

Jeff has held a number of leadership sales and channel positions within the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Group and Cisco Systems.

In past roles he has helped unified communications and cloud business units generate significant sales growth, while also building and driving high-level channel relationships with systems integrators, value-added resellers and distributors.

Jeff has a keen interest in emerging technologies, including cloud deployment models, BYOD, business intelligence and ‘big data’ – with a particular focus on their application in learning and development.

In his spare time, Jeff is a qualified soccer coach for Football Federation Australia, and Coaching Director at Wakehurst Football Club. He is also a keen observer of all football codes, a Wallabies tragic and a fourth-generation South Sydney Rabbitohs fan.

New Corporate Counsel

A graduate of the University of Pretoria in South Africa, Isabel Botha was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2006 and is a member of the law societies of New South Wales, Botswana and the Northern Provinces of South Africa.

Prior to joining Avaya, Isabel held the position of Legal Counsel for CA Technologies in Australia, and also served as in-house counsel to iSoft Group, one of the world’s largest providers of healthcare IT solutions.

Isabel is passionate about IT and the endless opportunities it brings. She is a strong advocate for using videoconferencing platforms like Avaya Scopia® to take world-class healthcare and education services to anyone anywhere in the world.
