Hell delivers pizza and pyrotechnics
NZ’s most innovative pizza company is set to deliver one Hell of a bang this Guy Fawkes.
Working with New Zealand’s leading fireworks designers and producers, Hell has commissioned the production of almost 35,000kg of high quality ‘Hellfire’ explosives and will become the first NZ business to deliver fireworks direct to customers’ doorsteps.
Hell General manager Ben Cumming says the cracking promotion delivers Hell customers another unexpected experience that “you wouldn’t get from your average run-of-the-mill pizza shop”.
“Fireworks in the backyard is an exciting Kiwi family tradition. By delivering premium fireworks with gourmet pizza, we’re creating a whole night’s entertainment for families and friends.
“Our Hellfire pyrotechnics are designed exclusively for Hell, and include a full range of premium fireworks. In some of the bigger fireworks, we’ve reached the legal limits to cram in as much bang-for-buck as possible, but we also have some more family-friendly options like the Little Devil multi-pack for customers with younger children.”
The campaign is the largest logistical undertaking in Hell’s history, with an unprecedented level of staff training involved to ensure a high level of safety and social responsibility across all Hell’s 64 stores.
“We want people to enjoy themselves, while respecting the wellbeing and property of others, so we’ve gone further than any fireworks retailer has ever gone in terms of promoting safe and responsible fireworks use,” says Ben.
“We’ve developed a safety leaflet, based on fireworks safety guidelines we received from NZ Police, which all of our fireworks customers will receive with their order, and customers ordering fireworks online at www.hellpizza.com will need to read and accept our policy on safe and socially-responsible fireworks use.”
The Hell fireworks policy states you must be 18 years and over to legally purchase fireworks and includes expert tips on how and where to use safely, as well as suggestions for being a courteous neighbour and considering nearby animals.
Hell stores will be opening for extended hours during the promotional period from 2 to 5 November, and Hell is offering free delivery for Guy Fawkes fanatics who pre-order their fireworks before 2nd November by phoning or visiting their local store.
