TeamTalk welcomes returning Telecommunications Minister

TeamTalk Managing Director David Ware is congratulating Amy Adams on her promotion within Cabinet.

"It's an incredibly important sector for New Zealand's future. Having the Minister elevated to number seven in Cabinet should mean good things for our growing industry.

"Alongside huge opportunities there are still a number of significant challenges and the TeamTalk companies look forward to working constructively with the Minister."

TeamTalk is a 20-year-old Kiwi-owned company which has grown to include CityLink and Farmside. CityLink is one of the country's leading fixed-line and wireless internet providers, complemented by Farmside's rural internet services to some of New Zealand's most hard-to-get-to locations.

David Ware says TeamTalk has enjoyed working constructively with the Government to successfully roll-out digital wireless internet services in places like Haast and the Chatham Islands.

"But there's plenty more to do to connect more Kiwis. Our geography can make it challenging, but we're showing it's do-able."
