Grand Designs guru coming to NZ
Design expert and host of the British home renovation show Grand Designs, Kevin McCloud, is to visit New Zealand for a one-off speaking event hosted by ANZ.
McCloud, who has hosted Grand Designs since 1999, will talk about the highs and lows of the show and offer his thoughts
on how that relates to New Zealand at the 22 October event at Auckland’s ANZ Viaduct Events Centre.
“I’m looking forward to sharing some of the behind the scenes Grand Designs UK stories with New Zealanders,” said Mr
McCloud, “and also looking forward to enjoying some proper kiwi enthusiasm - we look to your country as one of pioneers
and adventurers, a whole nation of Grand Designers.”
ANZ Chief Executive David Hisco said the bank was thrilled to bring the designer and presenter to New Zealand.
“New Zealand is a country of incredibly creative builders, renovators and DIYers,” Mr Hisco said.
“It’s great to be able to bring Kevin to New Zealand to share ideas and insights that can inspire New Zealanders to
imagine their own Grand Design, and encourage them make it a reality.
“We’ve been helping New Zealanders achieve their dream homes since 1840 and nowadays our home loan specialists across
the country have helped us become the number one home lender in NZ.”
ANZ’s ‘An Evening with Kevin McCloud’ is invitation-only, but there are strictly limited tickets available to be won on ANZ’s Facebook page from Monday 6
October.
People can also submit their design questions to Kevin McCloud on social media, the best of which will be put to him at
the event.
