Crowds gather for new retail experience in Nelson
After refreshing all 77 stores throughout the country, Noel Leeming announces the amalgamation of two local stores to create one bigger and better Nelson store- the largest Noel Leeming store in the South Island - located at 60-80 Bridge Street, Nelson.
The refreshed store, which officially opened on 26 September, is double the size and offers an enhanced in-store experience for customers, creating room for a wider range of products and services thus cementing its customer offering as a technology and appliance destination, now all under the one roof.
Noel Leeming Nelson Store Manager, Josh Webby says: “Over the three day opening weekend, we saw a 50 percent increase in customers compared with our usual weekend trading. We even had around 70 people queuing outside the store prior to the opening on Friday and we don’t even have queues like that at the Boxing Day Sales!
“The highlight of the grand opening weekend was the atmosphere in store. It was fantastic to have a fresh space that reflects the new branding - and of course having Chelsea Winter from Masterchef NZ providing cooking demonstrations at the Built In cooking area was a real treat,” said Mr Webby.
The Nelson store is designed to allow the Noel Leeming team of passionate experts to assist customers fully and utilise innovative services within the store. New to the Bridge Street store for Nelson Noel Leeming customers, is the Open Learning centre, Mobile Solutions and the Built In Cooking centre.
The Open Learning centre offers customers buying any smart device a complimentary 30 minute tutorial on how to maximise their new device, with more in-depth paid sessions also available.
Mobile Solutions has been introduced as part of Noel Leeming’s commitment to all things mobile and provides a place where expert staff will help customers discover the latest technology, compare the best plans and connect when in-store, while the existing Tech Solutions offers a range of services to make setting up computers and home entertainment systems hassle free.
