InternetNZ launches new funding rounds
InternetNZ has today launched two funding rounds as it continues its work to with the Internet community in New Zealand
to advance its vision of a better world through a better Internet.
The Community Projects funding round is to help fund community projects that will extend the availability, use and

funding round provides support for attendance at conferences where that attendance will assist in the achieving of
InternetNZ’s Objects and where it will grow the pool of expertise in particular areas in NZ.
InternetNZ has a total of $80,000 for its Communtiy Projects funding and $20,000 for conference attendance.
Chief Executive Jordan Carter said that community funding was one of the best parts of the job.
"Working alongside some of the best and brightest in New Zealand's Internet community is such a highlight. By
contributing this money to the work of others we're really helping them to grow Internet capability in this countrry.
We've previously provided money to groups who have set out to map the Internet in New Zealand and provide free wireless
to some of New Zealand's poorer communities.
"The Internet is such a dominant part of our society now that any work we can do to help grow New Zealand's capabilities
is essential," said Mr Carter.
