Young Gore retailer wins regional final
Gore retailer Jess Pulham will represent Southland and Otago at the ServiceIQ Retail Professional Award in Auckland next month.
Jess works at Carvin Streetwear in Gore, and impressed the judges with her passion for retailing, and her customer commitment. Her selling style relies on being open and honest with her customers and developing their trust.
She told the judges she enjoyed doing her ServiceIQ National Certificates in Retail Level 2 and 3. Jess plans to continue the training and complete Level 4 for retail supervisors, and says she is interested in owning her own fashion store someday.
Jess’s regional finalist award was presented last night by ServiceIQ’s training and development manager Nikki Rogers at the Top Shop Retail Excellence Awards in Dunedin.
As the
Southland and Otago representative, Jess has won a trip to
Auckland to attend the national final on 22 October, where
she will be accompanied by her employer, Carvin
Streetwear’s managing director Chanelle
Purser.
