BURGERFUEL WORLDWIDE PRESS RELEASE

Wednesday, 17th September 2014

BURGERFUEL OPENS EGYPT NO.2

BurgerFuel Worldwide has announced the opening of their second restaurant in Cairo, Egypt this week, closely following the opening of the first in Maadi, Cairo, in May of this year.

The new restaurant can be found within The District, a cutting-edge retail complex housing around 250 retail, food and beverage, entertainment and leisure outlets. Situated close by to Cairo Airport, The District is a landmark in the affluent suburb of Heliopolis, an area popular with celebrities, football players, politicians and wealthy families.

Located in a prominent, hard to miss position in the heart of The District’s food and beverage precinct, with large indoor and outdoor seating areas, the new BurgerFuel restaurant will be popular with affluent young adults who frequent the area to socialise, shoppers, travellers and those working in offices nearby.

The restaurant is being opened by local BurgerFuel Master Franchisee Wadi Degla, a large and well known Egyptian company who are behind the development of The District. They have interests across telecommunications, property development, food and beverage operations and operate Egypt’s largest private health, sports and leisure compounds.

Wadi Degla also has close ties to the football world with ownership of Egyptian and Belgian premier league teams, both linked to the English club Arsenal’s development programme.

Adel Samy, Chairman of Wadi Degla, comments, “We’re thrilled to have opened our second BurgerFuel restaurant in Egypt. We’re confident that the location inside The District’s busy food and beverage area, combined with the great reputation that BurgerFuel has already gained in Egypt through our Maadi store will result in a thriving, successful restaurant”.

BurgerFuel’s Chris Mason adds, “Cairo is an exciting city with huge potential and a growing population of 20 million. We’re incredibly pleased to be opening our second store in Egypt in partnership with a company of such great scale, in such a key location”.

BurgerFuel Worldwide (BFW) is a New Zealand gourmet burger concept and is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZAX).
