SOLITY SOFTWARE APPOINTS BRIAN STEELE AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Solity Software Limited (Solity), the Wellington-based software company specialising in crisis preparedness and incident
management, today announced that it has appointed Brian Steele as its Chief Executive.
Brian has extensive governance experience and has been involved either as a director, adviser or in an executive
capacity with companies that have substantially grown their business or realised their potential and been acquired by a
larger enterprise. These include Axon Computer Systems, now part of Dimension Data; and LifeDirect, sold to TradeMe in
2013.
His early commercial career included roles with Coopers & Lybrand in New Zealand and Europe, in Switzerland and Hong Kong with RJR Nabisco, before returning to this country to
work with Morel & Co, a M firm working with NZ technology companies.
He has a BCA and BA from Victoria University; is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the NZ Institute of Directors; executive director of Shoreline Partners, a business growth consultancy;
and, most recently was appointed to the Inland Revenue Department’s Taxpayer’s Simplication Panel.
Established in 2012 by technology entrepreneur Israel Reyes, Solity develops secure, cloud-based mobile software
products for public and private sector businesses that provide the managers in those enterprises with the tools and
information required to control and recover mission-critical operations and information, anytime, anywhere, any device.
At Solity Brian will be primarily responsible for the commercialisation of the company’s innovative technology,
executing a growth plan that will substantially increase Solity’s scale and scope, and securing the capital necessary to
achieve the company’s ambitions.
Company founder and managing director Israel Reyes will step back from frontline management to focus on product
development and incident response and business continuity expertise for the firm’s growing client base.
