Australian Clare Valley winery shows its class at NZ International Wine Show
Taylors Wines is celebrating after collecting 14 medals including seven Gold Medals at the New Zealand International
Wine Show.
In its tenth year, the New Zealand International Wine Show has built a reputation with trade and wine drinkers who await
the results each September. Judging took place over three days in early September under the leadership of Chief Judge,
Bob Campbell MW and Assistant Chief Judges; Larry McKenna, Peter Cowley and John Hancock who were supported by an
experienced team of 22 Senior Judges.
Taylors Company Director, Asia Pacific Market Manager and third generation family member Justin Taylor is delighted with
the company’s success in the Show. He says the strong result is particularly pleasing as earlier this year they
established a joint venture with another Australian family-owned winery, Brown Brothers creating their own sales team,
Taylor Brown.
Furthermore, Mr Taylor says it was wonderful to see that Taylors Estate Shiraz - which is the Number One selling shiraz
in New Zealand’s $15 - $20 market – was awarded a Gold Medal.
