Pumpkin Patch hires Ezibuy's Steve Mackay as new CFO
By Paul McBeth
Sept. 15 (BusinessDesk) - Pumpkin Patch, the children's clothing retailer, has hired former Ezibuy executive Steve Mackay as its new chief financial officer.
Mackay starts at the retailer on Sept. 29, replacing Matthew Washington who announced his resignation in May. Mackay was previously general manager commercial for Ezibuy, which was bought by Australia's Woolworths last year.
The Auckland-based retailer embarked on a strategic review in a bid to revive its ailing performance, focusing on its store footprint, stock levels, and an IT system upgrade, and last month flagged a $12 million charge to write down the value of the software and its retail stores.
Shares of Pumpkin Patch fell 2.4 percent to 40 cents, and have plunged 54 percent this year.
