New appointments at NZTE
Auckland, 15 September 2014: New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the government’s international business development agency, has made four New Zealand-based appointments in recent months.
Sanchia
Yonge has been has appointed Customer Director, based in
Auckland.
Prior to joining NZTE, Sanchia was Managing
Director for Kenexa NZ, an IBM Company, and was instrumental
in leading Kenexa’s Best Workplaces programme and
launching IBM’s Smarter Workforce solution across
Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Kenexa NZ, Sanchia
spent 10 years in the US where she worked in a number of
roles in operations, strategy and business development.
Terry Allen has been appointed a Customer Director,
based in Auckland.
Prior to joining NZTE he was the
managing director of Allen Strategic, a company he founded
specialising in the provision of governance, strategy and
execution services at board and executive level. Terry has
20 years’ experience in the wider ICT industry, during
which he has held senior roles in multinational technology
companies, including 12 years with Microsoft New Zealand. He
also ran the incubation business for Auckland University's
Icehouse incubator for two years, focusing on business
growth strategy, business start-ups, commercialisation and
company governance. Terry holds a number of directorships
and is currently on the board of Serato, Theta systems,
Massey Ventures Ltd and MPA limited.
Alison Adams
has been appointed Customer Director, based in
Christchurch.
Alison joined NZTE in 2012 as a customer
manager, working with a range of companies based in
Canterbury. Prior to joining NZTE, Alison spent four seasons
working for the commercial team at New Zealand Cricket, and
before this 10 years in marketing and sales roles with
Unilever in the UK and Vietnam, where she worked on
internationally recognised brands such as Persil, Omo and
Comfort.
Suzie Marsden has been appointed Director
Better by Design, based in Auckland.
She is responsible
for all aspect of NZTE’s Better By Design programme, which
helps businesses use design to become more innovative,
efficient and internationally competitive.
Suzie is an experienced senior executive and marketing professional and has recently been working as an independent consultant and leadership coach. Prior to this, Suzie spent eight years in a range of executive and leadership roles with Westpac, and roles with Fisher & Paykel Finance, and NatWest in the UK.
