Ms Mary-Jane Daly appointed as independent director
Kiwi Income Property Trust announces the appointment of Ms Mary-Jane Daly to the Board of the Manager, with effect from today.
Ms Daly is an experienced company director, with a strong executive background in treasury management, banking and insurance. She has had extensive experience in a variety of roles in New Zealand and the UK, and was formerly Executive General Manager at State Insurance. Prior to this, she was Chief Financial Officer for IAG New Zealand, having joined the company in October 2006.
Before joining IAG, Ms Daly spent four years with Fonterra as Group Treasurer and Risk Manager. She has also held positions at the Bank of New Zealand, National Australia Bank and Toronto-Dominion Bank in London.
Ms Daly is currently an Independent Director of the New Zealand Green Building Council, Airways New Zealand and TSM NZ Limited. She is also a Commissioner of the Earthquake Commission.
In welcoming Ms Daly to the Board, Chairman Mark Ford said: “Ms Daly has very strong credentials in banking, treasury and foreign exchange management, governance, insurance and business risk. Combined with her strategic business acumen and previous director experience, she will provide further invaluable skills to assist the Board in continuing to deliver upon our strategic objectives for investors.”
In accordance with NZX Listing Rule 3.3.2, the Board has determined that Ms Daly is an independent director.
