SMEG Proud to Announce Brand Ambassador Vanessa Baxter
SMEG New Zealand is delighted to announce Masterchef New Zealand finalist Vanessa Baxter as a key ambassador for the
iconic brand.
Vanessa will be popping up around the country over the next few months to cook up a storm for SMEG; showcasing her
passion for food and how easy preparation can be with innovative SMEG appliances.
SMEG New Zealand Distributor and Managing Director Rachel Louie is thrilled with the new partnership.
“Vanessa is the ideal SMEG Ambassador as she has a bubbly and friendly personality and is so passionate about food.”
A well-known personality in food circles in New Zealand, Vanessa first grabbed the attention of the nation when she
placed 4th in Season 4 of the hotly contested Masterchef New Zealand competition.
Since then, Vanessa has launched “Kitchens without Boundaries” and regularly hosts cooking workshops and demonstrations
in partnership with premium store NOSH Food Market.
Vanessa is the Ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Auckland where she often hosts cooking classes for kids and their
parents during their stay.
In September, the public will have the opportunity to see Vanessa in action as she hosts and demonstrates her cooking
prowess at the SMEG Cooking Theatre, proudly sponsored by NOSH at the Auckland Home Show, from Wednesday September 10th
to Sunday September 14th.
Of the ambassador position, Vanessa herself feels very fortunate.
“Food for me is passion. If you cook what you love to eat then you will find you enjoy the process and the final result.
This is how it is for me,” she says.
“The pleasure is in the delight of sitting down to eat something you have created. It is also in watching the pleasure
others have sharing in the food and the occasion that surrounds it.”
