Vector has made it easier for our northern network customers to report an outage. Instead of calling their retailer they can now get in touch with Vector directly.
Everyone on our network should now call us to report an outage on 0508 VECTOR (0508 832 867) 24 Hours, 7 days.

Network summary for week ending 31 August 2014
Electricity
Emergency services advised us of two house fires in Glen Innes and Papatoetoe during the week. Our contractors isolated power for safety.
There were two car v poles in Penrose and Mission Bay during the week with no damage sustained by Vector’s assets. There was also a car v pillar in Takapuna and a car v transformer in Papatoetoe.
Gas
Gas pipe strikes in Massey, Pukekohe, Milford, Taupo and Tauranga kept our crews busy during the week. No customers were affected by any of these incidents.
Smells of gas were reported in Hamilton (2) and Morningside during the week. Emergency services stood Vector down from the Morningside incident, and no trace of gas was found at the Hamilton site.
