Holden celebrates 60 Years in NZ with campaign by Isobar
When it comes to cars in New Zealand, there aren’t many more iconic than Holden, and the brand is celebrating 60 years of loyal customers via a series of vignettes housed on a dedicated section within Holden.co.nz, developed by digital creative agency Isobar.
The ’60 Years Loyal’ campaign features a series of videos telling stories of people with their cars over the years, starring Holden lovers from the decades the brand has been in New Zealand.
The videos were shot all over New Zealand. Isobar worked with Dentsu Aegis Network sister agency Haystac to source characters and stories of interest, then partnered with directors Tim Pierce and Toby Crawford of Two Bearded Men to capture the content.
The launch of the videos coincides with a below-the-line campaign that will offer one Holden lover the opportunity to win a fully restored 1969 Holden Monaro HT GTS.
Marnie Jane Samphier, General Manager Marketing, Holden, said, “Isobar understood the importance of paying homage to our brand and have perfectly captured its essence in this series. Their talent in production and really getting to the heart of these stories really comes through in the vignettes and we have really enjoyed the process of working with them.”
“Holden is considered a prestigious and aspirational brand here in New Zealand and we are very proud to be celebrating this milestone. I couldn’t think of a better nod to Holden’s heritage in this country than this series of stories from the people who make the brand what it is.”
Grant Henderson, General Manager of Isobar New Zealand said, “Holden have been a much loved car for generations of New Zealanders and we uncovered some fantastic stories from throughout the ages. We are really proud to have produced such a unique collection of content and hope to be working with Holden to add another one in ten years’ time!”
Isobar launched in Auckland in February 2014 and has enjoyed great success to date, winning new clients including Accor Hotels, Sovereign Insurance, BIC, Fishing Camping Outdoors and Tourism Victoria. Adding a digital creative string to the bow of the Dentsu Aegis Network in Auckland complements the great work being done by Carat, Vizeum, Haystac, ApolloNation and Synergy.
