Spark Digital scoops Frost & Sullivan awards trifecta

Auckland, 28 August 2014 – Spark Digital has scooped three awards at Frost & Sullivan’s inaugural New Zealand Excellence Awards.

Announced in Auckland today at the 2014 New Zealand Growth, Innovation, and Leadership (GIL) Congress, Spark Digital was recognised for leadership in unified communications, contact centre services, and data centre hosting.

Spark Digital took home three awards:

- 2014 New Zealand Unified Communication System Integrator of the Year

- 2014 New Zealand Hosted Contact Centre Service Provider of the Year

- 2014 New Zealand Data Centre Hosting Service Provider of the Year

Spark Digital GM Services and Solutions Jo Allison said the Frost & Sullivan awards reflected the efforts Spark Digital was making to help its business customers take advantage of the digital revolution.

“Across the Spark Network, we’re investing hundreds of millions of dollars each year to deliver the platforms and capabilities our customers need to grow and do business in new ways,” said Allison. “Customer feedback tells us that we’re on the right track and at the forefront of significant transformation projects. So it’s nice to have this commitment formally recognised by Frost & Sullivan.”

Frost & Sullivan’s 2013 market assessment highlighted a number of achievements material to Spark Digital’s awards success. The company’s unified communications business was noted for customer loyalty, strategic partnerships with Cisco, Avaya and Microsoft, and investment in critical infrastructure that collectively boosted service revenue by more than three per cent.

Spark Digital’s hosted contact centre service business, which recorded 17 per cent revenue growth in 2013, was recognised for its partners, cloud solutions and scope for connectivity and broader digital transformation.

The 2013 acquisition of Revera, which created a combined fleet of 20 data centres representing 45 per cent of New Zealand’s data centre and IaaS markets, underpinned Spark Digital’s award for data centre hosting services.

Frost & Sullivan New Zealand country manager Andre Clarke said award winners were selected on the basis of research conducted by Frost & Sullivan’s New Zealand consulting arm.
