Wellington to Napier passengers get the golden treatment

InterCity has released its much-anticipated premium seats for a limited time on bus services between Wellington and Napier.

Passengers between these points will be the first to experience the new InterCity GOLD seats – soft leather recliners with free WiFi and USB charge ports, allowing them to stay connected during their journey.

“We want to ensure that our customers have a trip that they rave about to their social networks and beyond,” says John Thorburn, CEO InterCity Group.

The GOLD service is part of a recent company-wide makeover for InterCity, with rebranded vehicles, an enhanced network and the gradual rollout of WiFi on all buses.

InterCity GOLD seats are now available until 12 September on selected services, for a small additional charge.

After 12 September InterCity GOLD will be available on a different North Island route as more buses are fitted with the ‘business class’ style seats.
