Cameron Bennett Joins The Marketing Bureau Ltd

Renowned New Zealand Journalist, Cameron Bennett is to join the team of Associates at Marketing Consulting firm, The Marketing Bureau Ltd., where he will participate in the ongoing development and implementation of their Media Skills and Crisis Communications Skills Training Programmes.

Beginning with the late and highly regarded Broadcaster & Journalist, Angela D’Audney, The Marketing Bureau has implemented Media Training and Crisis Communications Programmes for a wide range of private and public sector organisations over many years.

Cameron comes with a wideranging journalistic career during 25 years reporting for TVNZ. His strong interest in World affairs has grown from numerous international tours throughout his professional career.

He was TVNZ’s Europe Correspondent 199195. His extensive international reporting has included the Bosnian civil war, working undercover in Zimbabwe, inside the rebel zone of Ivory Coast and the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami in Sri Lanka.

His career highlights for SUNDAY, ONE NEWS, 60 MINUTES and HOLMES include the 9/11 bombings in New York and Washington DC, the Guantanamo Bay detention camp and war reporting from the Balkans to the Rwandan genocide, from Somalia to Palestine, Iraq to Afghanistan.

In New Zealand, he has reported and interviewed extensively on a wide range of social and political issues. He has a long experience in editorial strategy, story development and direction.

Most recently, Cameron has been engaged in directing, writing and presenting documentaries, including the toprating Nigel Latta social issues series on TV One, Coast Australia (Great Southern Television) and Anzac commemorative documentaries for Maori Television.

He also coauthored the highly successful book ‘The Power of Us, New Zealanders who Dare to Dream’ with photographer Adrian Malloch and Sir Ray Avery.

He has acted as a conference MC/Moderator for the Health sector, including Medical Technology Association of New Zealand (MTANZ), Callaghan Innovation and the Australasian LongTerm Conditions Conference 2014.

Cameron is a judge for the Kiwibank ‘New Zealander of the Year’ Awards.
