A RECIPE FOR
SUCCESS: TWO TAURANGA THE COFFEE CLUB STORES GO HEAD TO HEAD
IN NEW ZEALAND FRANCHISE AWARDS
19 August, 2014
The Coffee Club New Zealand has added to its long list of award nominations. Not one, but two of its Tauranga stores have been named as finalists in the prestigious 2014 Westpac New Zealand Franchise Awards.
Located within a short driving distance of each other, Ivy Joe of The Coffee Club Bethlehem and Janet Kim of The Coffee Club Mt Manganui both stand to potentially take out top honours in the Supreme Franchisee of the Year category.
Ivy Joe, owner of The Coffee Club Bethlehem, is no stranger to such accolades. The Coffee Club Bethlehem has twice been named Supreme Franchisee of the Year, in 2012/2013 and 2013/2014, the only franchise holder in the history of the awards to take out the title twice.
“Winning two awards in a row has been
wonderful for the business. It has increased awareness of
our cafe and attracted more people, who are then becoming
repeat customers. We’ve also had a lot of people from
other cities, like Auckland, visiting us on their travels as
they’ve read about us in magazines and newspapers.” says
Ivy. “Our success isn’t purely down to me - it’s a
team effort, a combination of everything from the people in
the kitchen to those at the front of house. We’re all
growing together and looking forward to the next challenge.
We are hoping for a third supreme award this
year!”
However, Ivy has some stiff competition from
first time nominee, Janet Kim of The Coffee Club Mt
Manganui.
“We are so grateful for the support given to us by both The Coffee Club New Zealand and the local Tauranga community,” says Janet. “We strive to give customers an enjoyable experience each time they visit us and love seeing them return time after time. This nomination really is the icing on the cake for us.”
The Coffee Club New Zealand has an excellent track record at the Franchise Awards, having taken out Supreme Franchisee of the Year twice already. They are hoping for another good result this year.
“We couldn’t be happier to be supporting our high-performing Tauranga stores,” says Andy Lucas, Director and Marketing Manager of The Coffee Club New Zealand. “We are very proud of both of them. We feel that they showcase what our brand is about, and maintain the high standards set by The Coffee Club New Zealand in all aspects of their businesses. We wish both of them the best of luck at the awards.”
The Westpac Franchise Award winners will
be announced on the 16th of November at The Crown Plaza in
Auckland.
