SEARCH ON FOR NEW ZEALAND’s YOUNG EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR
The South Island candidate for the annual NZIM/Eagle Technology New Zealand Young Executive of the Year Award will be
named in Christchurch on Friday.
The national title-winner will be announced at the Deloittes /Top 200 Awards dinner at The Viaduct in Auckland on 27
November. This year, two local Christchurch contenders will battle it out to be the representative for the Southern
region of NZIM and the chance to compete with other emerging leaders nationwide.
The NZIM/Eagle Technology Young Executive of the Year Award was established in 1994 to recognise outstanding
individuals,( under the age of 35), who are prepared to embrace emerging business best practices, and search out new
opportunities, while demonstrating excellence in leadership and management practice.
The suspense is nearly over for Emma Cridge from Move Logistics Ltd and Mike Wilson from K9 Natural Food Ltd, who are
looking forward with anticipation, to a private celebratory dinner for regional finalists, this Friday evening, at The
Copthorne Hotel Commodore.
The regional winner will be announced on the night and receive a trophy and the opportunity to participate in one of
country’s leading executive development programmes: NZIM Southern’s Transformational Leadership or Operational
Excellence for Managers, (valued at $5,600).
Participation in the national event also makes it possible for one of the region’s most promising talents to network
with other more experienced managers and leaders who may also be instrumental in providing support or opportunities for
career development in the future.
The winner of the national trophy also wins a further training opportunity with NZIM together with a travel prize and
exposure to other development opportunities through the NZIM Foundation.
