Carlton Gore Rises from the Asphalt

After months of road works Carlton Gore Road is now rising from the asphalt and looking better than ever. Many retailers have been affected by the works initiated by Auckland Transport and Watercare and although necessary, the work has taken longer than anticipated. The good news is Carlton Gore Road is ready for business and the precinct is bursting with both new and established businesses which offer a wide a range of products and services to Newmarket’s discerning customer.

In celebration of a new and improved precinct the Newmarket Business Association, supported by Auckland Transport, Auckland Council and Watercare are hosting a Market Day on Carlton Gore Road. From 10 am Saturday August 23rd this area will be full of festivities in and around many of the great businesses there. Visitors will enjoy live music, face painting, balloons, free pony rides, live art performances, bike tours, a live market, garage sales and the opportunity to win a $2000 shopping spree in the Carlton Gore Road precinct.

Newmarket’s new CEO Mark Knoff-Thomas, is confident that the area will thrive from the improvements “Maintenance and development of our infrastructures is necessary and inevitable. It is now an opportunity to make good of a challenging situation and get the word out that Carlton Gore Road is open for business!.”
