Northpower appoints new Chair
Nikki Davies-Colley has been appointed Chair of Northpower.
She was elected to the role by Northpower’s Board of Directors.
Mrs Davies-Colley replaces Warren Moyes who officially ends his tenure as Chairman on July 31.
Northpower Chief Executive Mark Gatland says Mrs Davies-Colley has developed her governance expertise under the guidance of Mr Moyes, who has been Chairperson for an impressive 21 years.
“Mr Moyes has guided Northpower from an asset value of $52 million in 1991 to $423 million today I have no doubt Warren’s legacy will continue for decades to come,” says Mr Gatland.
“Equally, I’m thrilled that Nikki is stepping into the position. She has been a Director of Northpower since 1995 and through her other governance roles becomes our Chair with a wealth of experience and with a great platform to build on.”
Mrs Davies Colley says she is looking forward to the role and contributing more to her local community.
“Working for such a successful local and consumer-owned organisation is something I see as a privilege and I hope to continue to build on the progress Warren has overseen,” says Mrs Davies-Colley.
“There is no need for changing the Northpower recipe so I will continue to steer us towards our strategic goals of solid growth and innovation with a firm focus on safety.”
Mrs Davies-Colley holds Directorships with Landcorp and Farmlands and will be stepping down from Directorships with Northpower Fibre and West Coast Energy as a result of her appointment to the Northpower Chair role.
Northpower Director Ken Hames is to take Mrs Davies-Colley’s place as Director on the Northpower Fibre Board.
