Treble Cone to Re-Open Tomorrow
Following 8-15cm of new snow yesterday, and great snowmaking conditions on the Home Basin trails, Treble Cone ski area (Wanaka NZ) is looking good to re-open tomorrow. The snow cover will be great up high and progressively thinner down low in both Basins.
The trails expected to be open and groomed for tomorrow will be Easy Rider, upper Main Street, The Platter, Raffills Run, South Ridge, High Street, and Pete’s Treat. Off-piste will be early season conditions with unmarked hazards. Its Kids Week with daily family activities.
The re-opening is expected to be well received with school holiday skiers and snowboarders bursting at the seams of Wanaka and Queenstown, and a spell of fine days forecast to enjoy the ski area, plus cold temps to allow snowmaking to continue to build the cover on key trails.
Wanaka ski fields Treble Cone and Cardrona share a multi day lift ticket called a OnePassNZ, which allows skiers and boarders to enjoy both ski areas on one common lift pass, and offers new multi day discounts, the flexibility of use on non-consecutive days and more great benefits.
This re-opening follows four consecutive closed days after a lingering inversion and rain saturated key trails late last week.
