Good Technology Launches Industry’s First and Only Mobile Workflow Builder
Enables organisations of all sizes to accelerate secure mobile app adoption to transform their business
Auckland, July 9, 2014 – Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced the industry’s first and only Mobile Workflow Builder, allowing organisations of all sizes to easily and efficiently select mobile enterprise apps and combine them into powerful business processes that introduce new ways to work mobile.
According to Good’s Q1 2014 Mobility Index, enterprise app activations continued to see an impressive growth rate at 57 percent quarter over quarter. Now, those organisations deploying apps are looking for the next phase in mobilising their businesses. They want to begin deploying enterprise mobile apps that are accessible across their employees, customers and partners, but this next step in enterprise app adoption hinges on the question “to build or buy?” While there are many examples of business processes that would require the creation of custom app solutions, there are opportunities to use best-of-breed ISV-developed mobile applications to provide an organisation with greater productivity beyond the basics of mobile email, contacts, and calendar.
The Good Mobile Workflow Builder offers IT shops and Lines of Business (LOB) the opportunity to define their own mobile workflows supported by a wide array of existing Good-secured mobile apps, as well as custom-developed apps that can be deployed together. By leveraging Good-secured third party mobile apps already available to them, organisations can augment any existing mobile investments they’ve already made to accelerate productivity, collaboration and engagement for employees, customers or business partners.
According to Gartner Research Director, Richard Marshall, “By 2015, four times as many mobile apps will be developed as traditional PC apps today. Before they become overwhelmed by demand, organisations must plan around these new cost models.”
“Regardless of where a customer sits on the mobile maturity curve, there is no question that deploying secure enterprise mobile apps beyond email can deliver significant value quickly and cost-effectively,” said Matt Sturges, vice president of Good Dynamics ecosystem at Good Technology. “By leveraging tools like the Good Mobile Workflow Builder, customers can easily define the business processes they want to mobilize with the confidence that the mobile investments they are making will foster productivity and protect their corporate assets, while also driving efficiencies and business value.”
The Good Mobile Workflow Builder also features a workflow gallery, showcasing over 50 of the most popular business processes being used today across Financial Services, Public Sector, Healthcare, and Insurance as well as supporting sales, field services, team collaboration, business intelligence and more. The online tool also generates a personalised PDF for created workflows, and includes all mobile apps available to support that workflow.
Good has a rich independent software vendor (ISV) ecosystem, with over 1,200 Good Dynamics® secured applications today enabling customers to both enhance collaboration with these secure app-to-app workflows and leverage advanced mobile security features to protect their data. Good ensures the security of third-party ISV apps by publishing detailed security guidelines, in addition to requiring ISVs to perform testing through an independent lab and verify that their apps comply with Good's security requirements.
