PRESS RELEASE: Thermakraft continues business after fire
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUCKLAND – Monday 7, 2014
Thermakraft Industries Ltd suffered a significant fire on Friday July 4th, which has destroyed some of their manufacturing capability for building supplies.
Actions are being carried out to assess damages, says CEO of Thermakraft, David Williams. “We are undertaking a stock-take today to determine the extent of our losses.”
Thermakraft are still unable to confirm exactly how the fire started but initial investigations indicate that it originated on one of the laminators during a production start-up for a batch of product. According to David, the site is under a fire-scene investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
With customers front of mind, David says expert engineers will be flying from Europe and USA to start with the reconstruction of two of their multi-million dollar machines to get their production resumed as soon as possible.
“We aim to have our distribution network running within the next 24 hours and are currently sourcing product from overseas, and where we can we will air freight it into New Zealand.”
Thermakraft are taking positive steps forward to remedy the challenge faced and will be updating everyone as new information comes to hand.
