New CEO Appointed for Newmarket

Newmarket, Auckland – The Board of the Newmarket Business Association (NBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Knoff-Thomas as their new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Knoff-Thomas brings with him a diverse business background that includes executive leadership, general and operational management, consulting, education and media. His recent focus on the employment sector, from a national general management capacity, has provided him with significant insights into the challenges faced by a wide range of businesses. He is a former President of the Auckland GLBT business association GABA, a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors, and is extensively networked.
Board Chair of the NBA, Bridget Smith, commented “Mark has a comprehensive background in leadership, management and operations and the Board feels his skills, experience, and passion will enable him to excel in this new challenge.”
Mark Knoff-Thomas said “I am very much looking forward to getting started and meeting with NBA members as soon as possible. Newmarket is a vibrant, world-class destination and I look forward to the challenge of building on its strong foundation and keeping it top of mind for all Aucklanders, and visitors alike.”
Mr. Knoff-Thomas will assume the position on 29 July 2014.
