The Divas Come to New Zealand
Opportunity for visualization specialists to compete for data visualization award
The next Data Insight Innovation Award (DIVA) will be presented at the 2014 Research Association Effectiveness Awards in Auckland on 26 September 2014. The New Zealand award, following hot on the heels of those presented at IIeX Europe and IIeX North America, will acknowledge the most innovative and effective communication of market research insight.
Patricio Pagani of Infotools says: ‘We encourage all interested visualization specialists to submit an entry to Research Association NZ’s website by 16 August 2014. Researchers are fantastic at communicating the insights that come from data, and the DIVAs celebrate the creativity in our unique field of consumer feedback.’
The DIVAs hope to highlight the value of visualizing consumer insight data, and are part of a plan to encourage the discipline more widely.
‘We are excited to use this opportunity to put data visualization where it belongs… in the limelight,’ says Rob Clark, chairman of Research Association NZ. Entrants will have an opportunity to explain why they feel their particular visualization most effectively communicates research insight. All formats are welcome and sensitive data will be kept anonymous.
‘Data visualization is an integral part of telling stories successfully, opening up possibilities that quickly resonate with our audiences and point to the exciting new business opportunities that ultimately benefit customers,’ says Kenneth Aiolupotea of the Auckland Council.
The DIVA award is sponsored around the world by Infotools and the GreenBook, and in New Zealand in conjunction with the Auckland Council.
Infotools is a New Zealand-headquartered company that transforms marketing research data into a knowledge bank. Clients then use tools to investigate, visualise and create stories. Infotools is a privately-owned company, operating in over 110 countries and headquartered in New Zealand since 1990.
